Max 11th birthday

Well, today Max turns 11, tomorrow I turn 35. Man I am getting old.
Thought I would post an email response I sent someone today. I would hate for anyone else not to see it.

We are in deep, deep doodoo. Everyone is walking around day to day like this is going to somehow get better. People say, we'll recover next year.
My question is HOW?

Who is going to decrease the massive size of the federal government that doesn't produce much , but spends 4 trillion a year now.
Who is going to rid us of the thousands and thousands of regulations that burden capitalist businesses and cost jobs and profit?
Who is going to abolish the utter failure of a government school system that sucks billions of dollars down the tube without educating children?
Who is going to put an end to the multi-billion dollar ponzi scheme called social security?

Socialism produces nothing but starvation and war.
CAPITALISM produces WEALTH which brings the whole standard of living of everyone up.
It creates jobs, builds factories, builds skyscrapers, ...

Yesterday was a real wake up call in my mind, because the federal reserve bank lowered the interest rate to 0. There is nothing else they can do now legitimately to spur the economy. The only thing left for the looters in washington to do is print money to inject liquidity, which will just cause inflation and DEVALUE our currency. I don't see any way out of this now, the looters in washington are not willing to give up their ABSOLUTE power. They are going to take us down with them. All they have to do is get out of the way and let us capitalists create and innovate and start to produce again, but their pride keeps them from giving up the power.

Paintball

JakJAk is 1 year old now. He is taking some steps now by himself.
He is a really cool baby.

We played paintball last weekend for Max's birthday. Lots of fun. A successful day, no one lost an eye.

I am going to grow a kung fu beard. A long thin beard just off of my chin.
Here is a picture of week 1.

Kidslu.com

KidsLu.com is live now.  It will be a work in progress, but this is my contribution to society.  A learning site dedicated to a free education and logic and reason.

Michael and Wyatt are being homeschooled now. They are loving it.  It is definitely more flexible for everyone.  JakJak is close to walking now.  His 1st birthday is friday.

Mike and Wyatt had a bb gun and archery tournament 2 weeks ago.  It was fun.
Thanksgiving 2008 was nice. We have lunch and Kris and Nalini's house, then dinner at mom and dads house.

Cub Scouts

Man, cub scouts are taking up a lot of my time. The boys love it.  Also, the boys in my den love it, so I am glad I can make a difference in these young boys lives.
Michael and Wyatt got their bobcat badges.

We pulled Wyatt and Michael out of school last week to homeschool. They are enjoying it as are we.  Abbey is going to finish out the year.  She loves her teacher too much to leave right now.

We have been exploring other places in the world to live.  New Zealand is nice. Brazil is nice.  Maybe even India.  It is time to escape the Obamunism.  People in this country have been dumbed down so much, they don't even understand what government is for.  Plus most of this country now wants handouts and wants to steal from hard working people to support their lazy ass lives.
IT IS TIME TO SHRUG!!!!

JakJak is growing up.  He is very mobile, although not walking yet.

We went to Rebecah Molly's first birthday last weekend.  Steph and Josh apparently forgot her name, so they had to give her a new name.

The boys and I have been up at the land a lot playing around. I love it up there.

October 2008

It has been a busy month.
Abbey and Wyatt got their black stripes on their blue belts.
We all participated in the Battle of Kennesaw tournament.
Michael and Wyatt and I went camping with the cub scout troop at FDR state park.
They also had the bike rodeo for cub scouts.
JakJak fell down the stairs yesterday following in the footsteps of both of his brothers. Unfortunately for Jak, the stairs are not carpeted any more.  But he is ok.
Our rabbits had more babies, so we now have like 18 rabbits.

The country is continueing to fall apart.  The financial markets are taking a beating as is the stock market.  Atlas is finally shrugging.

Isha Yoga

Kris and I have been taking Isha Yoga every day for the last 5 days.  Pretty interesting. We have learned a lot and had some good laughs as well.

Another week, another few banks bite the dust.  Also, we have been out of gas in georgia for over a week now.  Hour long waits to get gas if you can find it.  As soon as a gas truck delivers, people swarm the station and empty it.  Crazy.

Record months for every site.

Arrow Mountain

Monica and I hiked around on Red Top Mountain today.  On the very tip top, there is a giant concrete arrow on the ground.  Apparently this was an old Airmail beacon a long time ago. In the 1920's the US Postal service began shipping mail via air and built these beacons to light the way. They are built approximately 10 miles apart and the towers were generally 50 feet tall.  The beacon light ran off of a generator at the feather end of the arrow.  Research also told me that in the 40's the government decommissioned them and they chopped off all of the towers to use as scrap metal for WWII.  So all that would be left is the concrete arrow.  Pretty cool stuff.

Anyway, kids are good. Jak is growing like a weed, crawling everywhere.  He is putting everything in his mouth, though. He got a penny in his mouth this week and was choking on it.  He kept coughing and gagging and finally spit the penny out.

Websites are doing great.

United States is doing terrible.  Looks like the last 50 years of communist criminal leaders in washington has finally succeeded in destroying the US as we know it.  Very reminiscent of Atlas Shrugged, the government is now printing more money to try and bail out companies that were running their businesses poorly.  This will only succeed in making things worse.  The end is near. We can not sustain these aristocratic communist criminals in Washington any more. These crooks are absolutely destroying everything good that capitalism built in this country.  It is sad , but I guess people here must be happy, because this is what they have been voting for over the last 5 decades or more. Full blown statism where the government owns and controls everything and the politicians become rich aristocrats who are above the people.

Fall 2008

Wow, I can't believe it has been a month since I blogged last. Let me summarize the month.
Gehrig and I climbed whitesides. What great climbing.
Monica bought a great dane puppy named Bailey.
Our rabbits had 6 babies.
The kids started school.
Record month for all websites.
JakJak is crawling around everywhere and standing up while holding on to stuff.
I am so close to launching my shopping comparison engine.

Wyatts crazy hair

Well, what can I say, shit happens. I cut Michaels hair today and when it was Wyatts turn, I forgot to put the sizer component back on. So I cut a bald strip down Wyatts head. He decided to go ahead and let us give him a thin mohawk in the middle to correct it a little bit, but he'll have that hairdo on his first day of school monday. OOPS!!!

Jak has his first tooth coming in. He is pulling up on everything now.

Destin Beach Trip 2008

Michael, Abbey and I went for 4 days to Destin. Frank and his kids met us down there and it was a good time. We stayed at the Hidden Dunes condos and hit the water park one day. Mike, Abs and I took a waverunner out another day.
Unfortunately the jellyfish were very abundant the whole trip which kept us from doing more in the ocean. The kids had a blast catching crabs on the beach at night.

JakJak is moving around fast now. We have to keep him away from the stairs.

Anyway, school starts soon for the kids. Shopping comp engine is being built and data accumulated. Office supply site had a record month as did OSG thus far.
Industrial supply is on the way.

Monica and kids back from NC 2008

Well, the family is back. Bitlu is getting interesting. We have spiders up and running again after a 2 year hiatus from instawares. These spiders are way more advanced than we built at instawares and way more efficient.
ReliablePaper and EKC had record months in June.
Still rocking in spite of the bad economy.
Atlas is finally shrugging. I think this corrupt tyrranical government has finally succeeded in destroying our country. 3 trillion dollars of year of theft out of hard working peoples pockets can only last so long. Government regulation stifling innovation and capitalism. The corrupt law system that lets criminal businesses go into bankruptcy and come out smelling clean.

Monica and the kids in NC

I have the house to myself. First peace and quiet I have had in 9 years. It is amazing how quiet it is in the house. I had lunch at Kris and Nalini's house. I love indian food. I had dinner at Long and Kim's parents house. It was Long's moms 65th birthday. Great food. I love vietnamese food too. They are a great family. Very nice and honest.

Bitlu is coming along. VPP took its first orders last week. Reliable is still cranking.

ETO was fun this morning. We did 3 on 1 sparring.

Summer Boating

Well, it has been a fun summer for the kids. We have gone boating 3 times and had a blast.
We may go to NC to see Dave as well. Bitlu is coming along good. Poor JakJak got 4 shots last week, he was not happy. We got the kids report cards today. Michael got straight A's and Abbey and Wyatt got A's and B's. All of the sites had record months last month. We are about to bring on a vendor that has 140,000 products. Valuepluspaper.com came online this month and tooks its first orders. Should be a good one.

Memorial Day 2008

holiday weekend, so web sales slow down. I've been busy working on the new infrastructure PHP and SQL Server 2005. Building out some admin and bitlu. Business is strong.
Kids are out of school next week, I'll have to come up with some stuff for them to do this summer.

Abbey lost her other front tooth this week. Pretty funny looking.

The Day Bitlu Was Born

Well, today marks the official birth of bitlu.com. Our goal is to organize the worlds products. I signed a 2 year contract with the hosting company and we should commence things soon. I am very, very excited. Reliable is on pace for another blockbuster month as is EKC. VPP is loading products up fast as well.

We went to Marlos for mothers day and Murphy's bday. Then the kids and I went to Jaceson and Jens for dinner. Grandpa was there. Good to see him before he headed to Colorado.

Garden time

I started clearing a spot for a garden this year. We are going to plant some tomatoes, green peppers, cilantro, and whatever else we decide. There is nothing like home grown vegetables.

Wyatt landed a flip on his feet for the first time today. Him and James and I hung out today. Wyatt asked a funny question today. Mom, is it bad to stick up your middle toe at someone?

Anyway, I took the kids to see Ironman tonight. Very cool movie.

Record month for all of the sites in April. VPP starting up and waldo on the way this month.
Almost finalized the shopping comp infrastructure. Reliable doubled the size of its warehouse this week, still growing.

Spring Break 2008

Well, we had a good family trip to Orlando. We took the kids to 3 different parks: Magic Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and Universal Islands of Adventure. They had fun. We also let them drive an 18 wheeler around the yard at my grandpas trucking company. They got a kick out of that. Jak was a trooper, we drug him around everywhere.
We saw uncle Bobby and Aunt Linda and Rob. They are building a beautiful new house on a lake. Word has it there is a big anaconda living near. :)
We saw John Paul, Jenny and PJ. PJ is the cutest little girl ever. Abbey enjoyed hanging out with her. They have a beautiful lake house as well.
We saw Donna and went out to the property to take a look at things. Shannon met us with the boys for dinner at Chevys which was a good time.

EGP is almost shut down. We are having record months on the rest of the sites. Valuepluspaper is coming online now. Should be fun.
Bitlu is very close now. PHP and mysql on Red Hat will probably be the platform.

PHP

Well, it looks like I am going to use a PHP / SQL Server infrastructure to power my SCE bitlu.com. Can't wait, Kris and I are learning the scripting language now. It's very similar to the netcommerce I used at sweet paper and the classical asp I used at instawares.

Looks like we may have to shut down Egeorgiapacific. What a bunch of buttheads that company has. Funny, because the KOCH brothers preach capitalism and freedom, but all GP does is make crazy decisions that make no sense, and they love to sue people. It doesn't make sense for us to fight it, though. After all, they are our vendor for the site. If they don't want us to market their products, so be it. I will focus all commercial paper and foodservice keywords to Kimberly Clark products instead. A few months and years from now, when I have EKC doing a few million a month, I'll send GP an email about what they missed out on.

Anyway, most of the sites posted record months in March yet again. Spring break is upon us, may take the kids somewhere. The new ETO building is opening this week with much more space than the previous one. I am happy their business is doing well, they are one of the nicest families you will ever meet.

The kids are doing great in school. Jak is growing like a weed. He is a wonderful baby. Don't see much of mom and dad. Mom works too much and dad likes to sit at home and count his money and watch tv. Come to think of it, everyone is so damn busy, it is hard to get together with people. That is why I try to have some cookouts regularly to force people to take time out of their schedules to get together.

slack blogger

Man, I am getting slack at blogging. Let's see, in the last month:
Michael got his brown belt and abbey her blue belt.
Michael had some gymnastic meets.
James is eating fruit and sitting up a little.
Wyatt and Michael are kicking my butt at Halo 3 and for all of those who know how competitive I am, well, let's not go there. I get quite upset to say the least.
February was another record month for all of the sites. 2 new ones should be live within the next 2 weeks, one in restaurant smallwares and the other jansan and office supply.
By the end of the year, the nail in the coffin of instawares should be complete.
Shopping comparison engine is coming very soon now, I am chomping at the big. I feel like I have everything in place to do it now, just a matter of signing off on the infrastructure and getting started. Boy am I going to shake up that industry in a couple of years.
Here is a pic of my little princess.

Terrible night

Last night I had a stomach bug and lost 9 lbs between 9PM and 9AM. Quite a fun night. Michael had the bug last weekend and I spend most of saturday night cleaning up after him. Hopefully James, Abbey, and Wyatt won't get it.
January saw another round of record sales for the sites. Waldowares coming online soon.
I am getting close to signing off on the infrastructure to start the comparison engine as well.
I took a couple of hard shots to the lower leg sparring last weekend. It had me limping most of the week, but not broken bones.
James is cool, he loves to coo at me and he smiles a lot.
David finally sent me some pics of our trip to colorado where we climbed at Lumpy Ridge, Vedavoo, and Eldorado Canyon.
Here are some.

Nice snow

We had a couple of nice snow days here for the kids to play in. That may save me from having to take them to NC this winter. JAK is cooing at me now. Babies are awesome. Record months for 3 of the sites and I have quotes for rolling out my own infrastructure now. Look out!!! I successfully tested for my blue belt this month. Atlas is shrugging now in this country and will probably affect the world. The world stock markets tanked overnight and the fed dropped rates .75% in 1 shot. Ouch!!! Monica and I are trying a body colon and toxin purge for the next 90 days. Should be interesting. My quest for health is never ending. Michael turns 9 in a couple of weeks, wow.

2008

James is smiling now and is 1 month old. The kids have been out of school for 2 weeks which makes it very hectic around here. More record months on the ecommerce sites. Waldowares is coming online this month. I am getting info to start my comparison engine soon. I am excited about that. The time off since leaving Instawares has been one of the best learning periods of my life in terms of what is important in life. I have an inner peace I have not had since back in my rock climbing days. I don't worry about little things. I can safely say money is not what drives my world. Family, friends and living life are what it is all about.

I like the competition to do things bigger, better, and faster than the next guy in the business world. I have always been very competitive. If you create and innovate and do things more efficiently, money will come as a result. Everyone wants to have more money, but unless you can earn it honestly, it is not worth having.

I truly feel sorry for pathetic individuals who I partnered with at instawares and who I worked for at sweet paper who love money more than family, friends, and god. It is sad in my mind to see these people who sell their souls for a buck because of their blind love of money. These people lie, steal and cheat in order to make money, but how can you have any dignity or self esteem by getting money from lieing, stealing, and cheating. It's sad.
