Myrtle Beach 2009 Father Kids Trip

Another fun father kids trip this year at Myrtle Beach. Francis and his 5 kids came as well as Bob Morrell and his 2 girls. We stayed at Compass Cove in a 3 bedroom condo oceanfront. Some highlights of the trip where Francis and Bob getting wasted on the beach and fried to a crisp. Also the feast on the last night was awesome. I think Francis has found his calling as a chef. Also, we shot off some good fireworks on the beach. Oh, and there was also some good boogy boarding.

Abbey comes home from camp this weekend. Yea!!!

On the downside, my grandfather passed away this week. He was a great man and great capitalist in his day.

What a busy 6 weeks

Wow, time is flying by. In the last 6 weeks, I have been up the east coast to Pennsylvania, down to the Keys, and next week Myrtle Beach.

Abbey has been at camp for 3 weeks now with 2 weeks to go. We get to visit her tomorrow. We miss you Abs. Hope you are having a great time.

Unfortunately grandpa brown has a very rare brain disease called CJD which is terminal. Within 4 weeks, he has gone from walking and talking to bed ridden and not recognizing anything. His brain is being turned to mush. I went down to help mom and Aunt Dorothy take care of him last week. It was sad, but I am glad I went. He recognized me 3 times while I was there, but only for a few seconds before his brain drifted off again.
We love you grandpa.

Aunt Dorothy, my grandpa's sister told me lots of good stories about when they were younger. Aunt Dorothy is the coolest lady around, hands down. We'll be going up to Wisonsin next summer for her big family reunion.

Kudos to John Faucette for a great motorcycle wreck last week. He is now known as the Human Scab. Lesson, don't pop wheelies.

Mikey is testing for his red belt tomorrow. Good luck Michael.

We traded in the van yesterday for a 4x4 chevy suburban. We needed something big and comfy for our road trip coming up. And I got a Flip Video Recorder today as well. Cool toy. Hopefully we can get this house sold in August and hit the open road.

Abbey done with school

We are finally done with school. All 4 will be homeschooled from now on. The flexibility is great and the kids get pushed harder.

Planning a trip up north soon. We'll probably show the kids some historic stuff. Abbey will be off to camp at the end of June.

The boys and I are going to Myrtle Beach with Frank and his kids soon. Should be a blast. We rented a 3 bedroom condo and the place has 22 pools and hot tubs. Right on the beach.

We are hoping to start building our house soon. Hopefully our plans will be approved next week.

Wyatt and Abbey got their brown belts in May. Lauren and Kyle graduated high school. Congratulations.

Swine Flu 2009

People are panicking over the swine flu and driving up sales of purell and masks. We have a lot more important things to worry about than a flu bug going around.
Like the looters day by day destroying the entire system of capitalism that built the wealthiest country in the history of the world.

Anyway, we are still house hunting and talking with builders. Hopefully things will work out right.

Abbey is still acting a little funny. Since she had strep throat in March, she has been very obsessive compulsive.

Jak is still not talking much, but he loves to explore. He really enjoys the outside.

2009 Tea Party Atlanta

Dad and I went down to the state capital building for a tea party tax protest. It was really neat to see people finally waking up to the communism growing in america. Unfortunately I think it is too little, too late. I don't think it can be turned around peacefully at this point. The satanic politicians in washington will never give up their power now.

Hawaii 2009

We just got back from 2 weeks in Hawaii, 1 week on Maui and 1 week on the Big Island.
Really cool place, the environment is incredible. The raw power of the volcanoes, the rainforests, the variety of beaches.

Took the kids to the green sand beach. It has changed since the last time I visited, but still one of the all time coolest beaches on earth.

We found a cool black pebble beach on the big island that was really cool. I liked that one a bunch. Mile Marker 79.

The kids and I snorkeled a lot. The hilton waikoloa has a man made lagoon with sea turtles, eels, and fish. Cool for little kids to snorkel in.

We drove to the top of Mauna Kea. 14,000 ft. Awesome views.
All in all a good trip. Long flight, though.

Obamunism Spreading

Wow, it is still hard for me to believe that this country deteriorated to the point where it elected a full on Marxist Communist as president. This guy is about as bright as a potato. Virtually every move he has made thus far has been wrong. He has spent a trillion dollars in his first 2 months of office on more big government. More looters, more leaches on society.
Yet nothing he has done will make a hill of beans in the overall scheme. It is all about to collapse on itself.

Ammo is hard to find these days. People are stocking up.
We are looking to build on red top mountain soon. That ought to be interesting.

Michael turned 10 last month. Hard to believe our first baby is 10 years old now.
Jak is all over the place now. Climbing and everything.
We'll be heading to Hawaii soon for a nice vacation.
