New Hampshire

We left Maryland and headed through NY, stopped in Stamford CT to see my old buddy Matt White for a couple of days. We then headed through Massachusetts to New Hampshire to meet with the freestateproject.org people. Very nice people. We may get a place in NH.

Finally we made it to Acadia National Park in Maine. It is an amazing place with granite cliffs, ocean, boats, lobster, .... Very beautiful place. We camped for 4 days. Michael and I did a scary hike that virtually wound its way up a 600 ft rock face with lots of steel ladders. Very exposed.

We spend the last 2 days in the white mountains of NH. What a beautiful place. We went to the top of Mount Washington 6200 ft. We stayed in a fancy old motel called Mountain View Grand which has been around for 150 years. 15 presidents have vacationed there.

We are now at Lake Champlain in VT.

Jessica and John Harper's Place

Thanks to Jessica and John for their hospitality at their beautiful home in Maryland. Their 3 sons are a wild bunch. Next stop Philadelphia, home of Benjamin Franklin.

Bye Bye Virginia Beach, Hello Maryland

We are taking a trek across a 17 mile bridge/tunnel today on our way to Maryland to visit Jessica and John. Hope the bridge holds out. The rain finally disappeared today, sunny and windy now.

Having Some Fun On Gehrig's Property

We met Gehrig and his girlfriend at his land and rode motorcycles and fished and shot a little. Here is a pic of Wyatt playing with his hunting spear.

And We Are Off - Day 0

Finally, after months of consolidating all of our stuff into storage and getting a trailer and getting a new truck and selling all of our assets, we are heading for the open road. We are going to explore the US for a few months and who knows, maybe we'll be back in GA, maybe not.
